Grand Central Commons - Columbia Heights, MN
This project is a two-level multi-use redevelopment project with approximately 52,000 S/F of office and retail lease space located on the NE corner of Central Avenue North and 47th Street in Columbia Heights. Along with this a single level (190) car parking ramp will be constructed. Exterior finishes will be a mix of stone, brick, EFIS and metal panels. Primary tenants will be Aldi's and Buffalo Wild wings. Work will begin in the summer of 2008 with an anticipated opening date early in 2009.
Moon Motorsports - Monticello, MN
Nelson Building & Development is the design/builder for the new 37,500 sq. ft. home of Moon Motorsports in Monticello. The project will be located along I-94 frontage east of Highway 25. NBD's design team is working with the Owner and a nationally known "Power Center" planner to create an impressive shop, office and showroom space.
River City Entertainment Center - Monticello, MN

NBD has been selected by L & P Ventures, LLC as builder for this 61,000 bowling and entertainment center to be located on School Blvd in Monticello, MN. Pope Associates, Inc. of St Paul, MN is the project architect. The facility includes 36 Brunswick bowling lanes, with expansion space for 6 additional, mini-golf, amusement arcade, multiple bar/restaurant areas, a full commercial kitchen, locker areas, and business offices. The design consists of architectural pre-cast concrete walls with a steel bar joist roof system.
Asian Direct - Savage, MN
Nelson Building & Development is the Design / Builder for this private business owner who has operated a successful Asian market in Richfield, Minnesota for the past ten years and is expanding into the south metropolitan area. The owner was looking for a company that could perform construction as well as architecture and also who had experience in creating potential income by subdivision of the property.
The Owner’s building will house his Asian grocery at 15,000 square feet of area and three smaller tenant lease spaces ranging between 1,400 and 1,800 square feet. The design is sensitive to and complies with the stringent zoning criteria. The building will be constructed primarily of concrete masonry construction with steel roof joists. The front facades will be a mixture of brick masonry veneer with manufactured stone accents, exterior insulation and finish system, pre-finished metal canopies, copings, and trim, and aluminum windows, entrances, and storefronts.
Champlin Retail - Champlin, MN

Nelson Building and Development was the Design / Builder of this 5,000 s.f. retail plaza along a highly visible section of Highway 169 in Champlin, MN located next to Minnwest Bank’s newest location. The space is divided amongst three tenants and is consist of wood framing with a combination of brick and EIFS veneer. This project was completed in March 2007.
River Crossing - Sauk Rapids, MN
Nelson Building was the successful bidder on this retail center in Sauk Rapids. This was Nelson Building’s second project with Development 101. The project consisted of two buildings with over 14,000 s/f of leasable retail space in the lower level, and proposed office suites located in the upper level. Construction consisted of wood framing and a mixture of brick and EIFS veneer. The project broke ground in September 2006 and was completed in February of 2007.
Maple Lake Retail Center - Maple Lake, MN
NBD was selected to design and build a retail center at the intersection of Maple Ave and Highway 55 in Maple Lake, MN. This building is approximately 8,200 s/f with the leasing space divided into four tenant spaces. The building was a pre-engineered steel structure with a single slope roof to reduce initial project costs. The exterior is a face brick with colored, fabric awnings over the storefront windows.
Taco Johns Restaurant - Monticello, MN
Nelson Building & Development was the design build contractor for this new Taco Johns restaurant in Monticello, Minnesota. The project broke ground in May of 2006 with a completion date in August of 2006. This contemporary styled Taco Johns featured a mixture of EIFS and stone to create a visually appealing look to the rapidly growing Monticello community.
Canyon Grille Restaurant - Eden Prairie, MN

NBD has been contracted to renovate the former Bilimbi Bay Restaurant in Eden Prairie into a Canyon Grille Restaurant. The project consists of new interior and exterior finishes. The Canyon Grille Restaurant is expected to open in August.
Chelsea Commons - Monticello, MN

NBD was the design-build contractor for this 10,700 S/F retail center located in Monticello , MN. This center is anchored by Loch Jewelers providing them with a new retail store. Construction began in May of 2006 and was completed in September of 2006.
New Town Market - Annandale, MN

Nelson Building & Development has completed this 14,250 S/F retail center Design-Build project. The project is anchored by a 5800 S/F liquor store and is located and visible from Highway 55, adjacent to the 43,000 S/F Marketplace Grocery Store in Annandale. Brooklyn Park Retail Development - Brooklyn Park, MN

NBD has finished this new 12,000 S/F retail center on the corner of Highway 610 and Zane Avenue North in Brooklyn Park, MN. This retail center will include a Domino’s Pizza and has six (6) other spaces available for lease. The architect for the project was Martin Woody Associates. The owner of the center is Development 101, LLC.
Monticello Business Center Phase I & II - Monticello, MN


NBD completed this 18,000 S/F office/retail complex in October of 2003, located on the south edge of Monticello. The design includes a very attractive exterior including a combination of colored rock-face cmu, brick and EFIS finishes. This building is leading the way for future development in this fast growing area. Tenants include Edina Realty, A.E. Michael's and Hirschfield's Paint. The architect for the project is Norm Cole of The Cole Group and the Owner is Mike Krutzig of A.E. Michael's.
NBD completed Phase II of the Monticello Business Center in September of 2004. This second phase has approximately 18,000 S/F with a mix of office, retail and restaurant space. The exterior of this building is a mix of EFIS, rock-faced block and brick veneer. The architect for this project is Miller Dunwiddie Associates. We are currently aiding tenants in doing their build outs as spaces are leased.
