Portland Commons - Bloomington, MN

A new 209,000+ SF, 166 unit, 4 story older adult living facility with an 80 stall underground parking area. Located at 88th and Portland Avenue in Bloomington, this $17.6 million facility is scheduled to begin construction in the summer of 2008.

Kingsway Retirement Living - Belle Plaine, MN

NBD was selected as negotiated General Contractor for the new Kingsway Retirement Living facility. This addition will consist of 81 new units in a senior living community at the existing Lutheran Home Association Campus.  The building is divided up into a 22 Assisted Living units; a 14 Dementia Living units; and a 45 Independent Living units with a mixture of one, two, and three-level units; wood construction, underground parking, all in one new building. The construction duration is anticipated to be 14 months with a ground breaking in April 2007. We look forward to working on yet another project with  the architect, WAI

Autumn Glen Senior Living - Baxter, MN

NBD was selected to build this 50 unit 3 story wood framed senior living center with underground parking totaling nearly 70,000 SF in Baxter, MN.  Pope Architects out of St. Paul is the project architect. The project began in September 2007 with scheduled completion in July 2008.

Annandale Care Center - Annandale, MN

The Annandale Care Center has selected Nelson Building & Development as the construction manager for it’s three part renovation project. Phase one expands the existing dining room and serving kitchen as well as adding a new loading dock and garage. Phase two is the addition of three new memory care wings. The final phase adds a swimming pool, a therapy pool, locker room and exercise room. All three phases will greatly enhance Annandale Care Center’s ability to serve the people of the community.

Mankato House - Mankato, MN

NBD was selected by The Thro Company as the General Contractor for this project that is the first phase of a possible 3 phase nursing home project.  This phase currently contracted is a one story addition to a one story nursing home along with the remodel of a complete wing of the existing facility. The architect for the this project is WAI Continuum.

Park Terrace - Buffalo, MN

Elim Care Inc. has awarded Nelson Building the 53,000 s/f addition to their existing Parkview care center.  Based on successful past projects; Elim decided to negotiate solely with Nelson Building for this new 46 unit facility.  The project consists of a three story, wood framed assisted living center and a single story, steel framed community center.   This project is scheduled to break ground in the fall of ’06 with a completion set for the summer of ’07. The project architect is WAI Continuum.

Country Meadows - Milaca, MN

Nelson Building completed this 32-unit assisted living center in Milaca , MN . This was Nelson Building's second project with Elim Homes, Inc. and WAI architects. We continue to develop a wonderful working relationship with both companies. This project consisted of a two story, 38,000 sq. ft. addition to their existing facility. The addition included apartments, public dining room, kitchen, and a ministry center. Construction started in August 2005 and the projected was completed in September of 2006.

LakeRidge Care Center - Buffalo, MN

NBD successfully completed this $740,000 remodeling project.  This facility is now completely renovated adding new patient rooms, a new nurses station, renovation and update of front lobby and corridors, plus a new canopy over the front entrance.  The new owner of the facility is Elim Care, Inc and the architect is WAI Continuum of St. Paul, MN .  Work began January of 2005 and was completed in July of 2005.
